About us

Our Club „Sunflower Society Leipzig e.V.“ was founded on May 9th 2023 with eight people. Since then we work with different humanitarian organizations to help Ukraine in the fight against the russian aggression.

Focal points of our association work

This means collecting donations of money and goods, organizing aid deliveries, connecting German and Ukrainian communities in Leipzig, and educating people about the situation in war-torn Ukraine. This also includes caring for the memory of the fallen and deceased so that the cost of war is not forgotten.
The Russian regime not only wages a brutal war of conquest against Ukraine, but also seeks to destroy national identity by systematically attacking cultural sites and national symbols. To counter this, we as an association want to work for the creation of German-Ukrainian encounters and promote the expression of Ukrainian culture.
